I first heard about Casa de los Angeles in college about five years ago. After working in Human Services in Oregon, I decided it was time to make my way down to San Miguel de Allende to see how the free daycare worked and to practice my Spanish.
What I found was a wonderful community working together to better themselves and their children. The support and love I see each day comes as second nature to all involved. The emotions I feel when I walk into the daycare center are pride, strength, hope, respect, and relaxation. I see them reflected in each face that greets me.
Being a part of such an organization has renewed my faith that small hands can change the world. Although my print will be small in the path of all those involved, the impact on my spirit is great!
